Curtis, Simpson Thacher advises Ecuador, Chile, Panama work.

Skadden is advising US-based GE Vernova on its acquisition of the remaining 50% stake of Mexico-based Prolec GE, its joint venture with Mexico-based Xignux, for $5.3 billion; Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle served as counsel to Ecuadorian telecom company Telconet in the successful closing of a $120 million international syndicated loan facility aimed at expanding the company; Simpson Thacher is representing Chile-based Molymet on its acquisition of US-based Rhenium Alloys and Dominican construction and industrial group Grupo Estrella in connection with its acquisition of Cemento Bayano in Panama from Cemex.
