Latinvex Turns Ten: What Our Readers Say
Feedback from key readers of Latinvex as we celebrate our tenth anniversary.
Key readers of Latinvex share their feedback on the publication after our first decade of business.
Tony Del Pino, Global Chair of the Latin America Practice at Latham & Watkins
As the head of an international law firm practice that specializes in the Latin America region, Latinvex is a key resource that we turn to for news, research, rankings, awards, and more.
The Latinvex team has been such an asset to help us stay abreast of trends in the market as well as to provide a platform for our lawyers and matters with many receiving recognition year after year on Latinvex lists such as Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers, Top International Law Firms, and Top Latin America M&A Legal Advisors.
I’ve had the added pleasure of knowing Editor-in-Chief Joachim Bamrud for many years as well through providing industry thought leadership and insight for the outlet’s articles and reports. I greatly appreciate his leadership to give voice to the Latin American business and legal community.
Congratulations to Latinvex on its 10th anniversary, and well wishes for many more to come.
Mike Fitzgerald, Partner, Baker McKenzie and former chairman of the Latin America practice at Paul Hastings
Joachim Bamrud, the founder of Latinvex, did two things that distinguish successful entrepreneurs. First, he recognized an opportunity in the market that no one else had exploited, and second, he and his team successfully capitalized on that opportunity.
There have been many well-established publications that pertain to Latin America and that focus on various aspects of doing business in that jurisdiction. Some have been oriented toward lawyers and focused on legal work in Latin America. Some have been focused on finance professionals and the work of providing financing for Latin America. Other publications have concentrated on a variety of Latin America focused topics including trade, travel and of course, politics.
While these well-established publications concentrate on important aspects of conducting work in Latin America it seemed to some that there was no one convenient source of information that would cover all of these topics. Latinvex does that. It takes all of the news relevant to a person working on Latin American matters and presents the news in a well-organized English format that is attractive, easily understandable and with insightful editorials.
Also, like all good entrepreneurial efforts, Latinvex has continued to improve over its 10- year term so that it has become the definitive source for those seeking an overview of all that is relevant in the Latin American market.
Paola Lozano, Co-Chair of the Latin America Group at Skadden and head of its Spanish-language corporate practice.
Latinvex has established itself as a very important source of business and legal news for Latin America. Their timely coverage of relevant information has made executives, investors and attorneys place significant reliance on their publications. We also appreciate the noticeable effort of their reporters to distinguish themselves for devoting time and resources to gain a better understanding of the complex legal market in the region. Through that effort they have become a frequently consulted reference in that market.
We always read their daily updates, consult their in-depth reports and look forward to the issuance of their various rankings.
Congratulations to the entire staff on their 10th anniversary! We are confident the next 10 years of dedicated and through coverage of Latin America will continue to solidify Latinvex as a critical resource to all of us doing business in the region.
Paul Schnell, Co-Chair of the Latin American Group at Skadden
Happy 10th birthday Latinvex! In a region, where it has always been a daunting challenge to make sense of current legal, business, economic, political and social developments as well as discern future trends, Latinvex has performed a critical role in bringing insight, clarity and understanding to its readership.
Your range of coverage of individual countries and Latin America as a region, of different industries and practice areas, opinion pieces, rankings, and special reports such as on the impact of Covid, have been essential reading for me in navigating and thinking strategically about practicing in the region.
Thank you, Joachim Bamrud and team for your continuing thought leadership.
Maria-Leticia Ossa Daza, Chair of the Latin America practice at Paul Weiss and former Chair of the Latin America Practice, Willkie Farr & Gallagher
Latinvex continues to be a premium source of essential content for me as we continue to expand the Latin America Practice Group.
At a time of constant change and disruption, the rich and timely content helps me stay connected with important trends and major news and analysis in the region that in turn assists me in keeping my clients and team well informed and up to date.
Congratulations to the Latinvex team on 10 years focused on this dynamic region!
