Latham & Watkins Advises Geely-Renault Brazil Deal

Arnold & Porter, Latham advise Chile TV sale and energy storage financing.

Latham & Watkins advised Chinese automaker Geely on its joint venture with France-based Renault Group, under which Geely has acquired a 26.4% stake in Renault do Brasil and Chilean electricity generation company Generadora Metropolitana on construction financing for the Dune Plus energy storage project, one of the largest in Chile; Arnold & Porter served as lead counsel to US-based media and entertainment company Paramount Skydance Corporation in its agreement to sell its shares in the entities that control broadcast television network Chilevisión to Vytal Group; Clifford Chance advised Guatemalan energy transmission companies EEGSA and TRELEC on a $40 million credit facility and Nelson Mullins served as U.S. legal counsel to Exato Digital, a Brazilian startup specializing in automated background verification, in its 20 million reais (US$3.7 million) financing round.
