Sao Paulo-based Cleary Gottlieb partner has been named leader of the firm’s Latin America group; Kirkland & Ellis partner has joined DLA Piper as a Partner in the firm’s Project Finance practice based in DLA Piper’s Washington, DC office.; Akin counsel has joined Mayer Brown as counsel at its Houston office; Skadden counsel has joined Simpson Thacher as counsel in the Financial Institutions M&A team in New York and Harneys has appointed office managing partners in the BVI and Cayman Islands.
