Cleary Gottlieb, Latham & Watkins Advise Softys Deal

Cleary, Clifford Chance, Latham advise Brazil, Colombia work.

Cleary Gottlieb and Latham & Watkins advised Chilean personal hygiene company Softys’ $121 million acquisition of the Brazilian baby care business from Belgium-based Ontex Group; Cleary Gottlieb represented Uruguay-based, Latin American online retailer MercadoLibre in an amendment and restatement to its $400 million revolving credit agreement; Clifford Chance advised IDB Invest and Bancolombia on the $113 million financing for the development, construction and operation of the 201 MWp Shangri-La solar photovoltaic power plant in Tolima, Colombia and Latham & Watkins advised US-based climate technology provider Pachama on a strategic partnership with Brazilian alternative investment firm Patria Investments to catalyze the development of high-quality reforestation projects in Latin America.
