Cleary Gottlieb Advises $1.8 Bln Uruguay Offers

Cleary Gottlieb represented the Republic of Uruguay on two offers that totaled $1.8 billion; Clifford Chance has advised on Banco de Occidente’s $175 million offer; Latham & Watkins advised on the financing for the renewal of certain existing TransMilenio concession fleets and the implementation of the related charging infrastructure in Bogotá, Colombia; Paul Hastings advised Brazilian real estate company SYN Prop E Tech in an asset swap transaction with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and Mayer Brown represented US-based BWAY Corporation’s acquisition of Taenza, a manufacturer of tin-steel general line, sanitary, and aerosol cans, and steel pails based in Mexico.
