Cleary Advises on Hostile Millicom Offer

Latham, S&C, White & Case advise LatAm offers and deals.

Cleary Gottlieb is representing Finland-based Nordic bank Nordea in connection with the $2.9 billion all-cash hostile tender offers by Atlas Luxco (an entity controlled by French businessman Xavier Niel) for Luxemburg-based, Latin America-focused telecom company Millicom; S&C advised the $2 billion offer from Brazil and the $800 million offer from Colombia’s top bank Bancolombia; Cleary Gottlieb advised the $500 million offer from Telecom Argentina; Latham & Watkins represented the investor in the $100 million investment in Mexican digital payments and commerce platform Clip and White & Case advised Mexican real estate investment trust Fibra Shop on its joint venture with leading Mexican real estate developer Grupo FREL to integrate the two shopping center in Los Cabos.
