Akin, Holland & Knight Advise Talos-QuarterNorth Deal

Akin and Holland & Knight advised on the $1.29 billion acquisition of US-based QuarterNorth Energy by US-based energy company Talos Energy in a deal that will bolster Talos’ presence in Mexico; Simpson Thacher is representing Brazilian steel company Gerdau in connection with the sale of its 49.85% stake in Colombia-based Gerdau Diaco and its 50% stake in Dominican Republic-based Gerdau Metaldom Corp. for $325 million to Dominican- based Inicia Group; Arnold & Porter advised Peru on two significant victories at The World Bank’s International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in its inaugural Brazilian transaction, a $30 million on-lending facility to the Development Bank of Minas Gerais (BDMG).
