Brazil deal value soared 289% in first quarter this year.

After a lackluster year, mergers and acquisitions picked up dramatically in Latin America in the first quarter.
Led by a surge in Brazil, total deal value jumped 206 percent in Latin America during the first three months this year, according to Refinitiv.
