Winners and losers among Latin America’s top 100 insurance companies.

Switzerland-based Swisscorp, Netherlands-based Aegon, US-based Pan American Life Insurance Group (Palig) and France-based Axa are the fastest-growing foreign insurers in Latin America, according to a Latinvex analysis of 2013 data from Latino Insurance.
Among Latin American insurers, Colombia-based Positiva-Previsora and Venezuela-based Valencia led the way in growth.
Meanwhile, Banco do Brasil has replaced Brazil-based Itau as Latin America’s second-largest insurer.
