Top M&A Advisors: Linklaters, Cleary Gottlieb Jump
Latin America’s top 25 legal M&A advisors in the first half of 2013.

UK-based Linklaters and US-based Baker & McKenzie, Cleary Gottlieb, Willkie Farr, Paul Weiss and Morgan Lewis & Bockius jumped on the ranking of Latin America’s Top 25 Legal M&A Advisors from Thomson Reuters.
Several Brazilian law firms also did well. They include Barbossa Mussnich, Mattos Filho, Lefosse Advogados and Pinheiro Guimarães.
All in all, nearly half – 12 – of the top 25 legal M&A advisors were US law firms, while Brazil accounted for five and Mexico and Chile two each. The remaining four include Linklaters, law firms from Norway and Panama, dual Australian/UK-headquartered Herbert Smith.
11 of the firms were new to the ranking compared with the first half of 2012.
