Skadden Advises Jose Cuervo Offer
Cleary, Davis Polk, Hogan Lovells advise Brazil, Chile, SPAC offers.

Skadden advised Mexican liquor producer Becle (the world’s largest producer of tequila and owner of the Jose Cuervo brand) on its $800 million offer; Hogan Lovells represented Banco do Brasil on its $750 million offer; Cleary Gottlieb and Davis Polk advised on the $287.5 million IPO on Nasdaq from Latin America-focused SPAC MEKA; Cleary advised two offers from with the Republic of Chile that raised a combined $2.1 billion; Skadden represented AES Brasil Energia in its $205.9 million follow-on; Davis Polk advised on the $150 million offer from Brazilian airline GOL and Cleary represented the Argentina Province of La Rioja on the restructuring of its $300 million notes due 2025.
