Mexican president increasingly more radical and investor-hostile.

This month marks the first 18 months of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (popularly known as AMLO) as president of Mexico.

While the first year was tough enough for local and foreign investors, the past six months have become even worse, as AMLO has mismanaged the COVID-19 pandemic, refused to provide any major stimulus to companies and continued to worsen the business environment for local and foreign private companies.

All this as Mexico is suffering its worst economic crisis in modern times. The economy declined..
