Experts: Latin America FCPA Work Increases
Petrobras, Odebrecht scandals have significant impact on FCPA & fraud sector.

Despite a new US Administration led by President Donald Trump, experts say the demand for work on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) is strong, following a banner year.
“President Trump and his appointed SEC Chair, Jay Clayton, have expressed FCPA skepticism in the past, but the new administration has not given any indication that reducing FCPA enforcement or revamping the current FCPA regime would be a top priority,” says Asheesh Goel, co-chair of Ropes & Gray’s global anti-corruption and international risks practice. “2016 was a banner year for FCPA and Fraud enforcement in Latin America and the outlook for 2017 is equally as promising.”
