Latin America Airport Thefts Grow
Thefts and robberies are growing at Latin American airports.

When the taxi of US businessman Peter Smith (not his real name) arrived at Guarulhus airport in Sao Paulo, he briefly left a bag with his laptop at the curb as he prepared to pay the driver.
Within a few seconds that bag had been stolen. “It was handled professionally by the thieves,” he says. “The airport police had it all on video.”
