Freshfields and Simpson Thacher advised the $1 billion sale by Chile's Sudamericana, Agencias Aéreas y Marítimas (SAAM) of its shipping terminal and logistics businesses in South America, Central America and Florida to German shipping and container transportation company Hapag-Lloyd; Willkie represented Colombian transportation infrastructure company Odinsa in the sale of a 50% stake in certain of its airport concessions to Australia-based Macquarie Asset Management for $160 million; Simpson Thacher represented Panama-based Masplay in connection with its acquisition of Nike de Chile Limitada and Agro Vision Corp. in connection with the preferred equity investments made by responsAbility Investments and Avenue Sustainable Solutions Fund (a fund within Avenue Capital Group) and Davis Polk is advising Brazil-based education company Arco on its proposed acquisition of 75.1% of Brazilian education software company Isaac.
