Latham & Watkins Advises Telefonica El Salvador Sale


Paul Hastings advises Brookfield real estate deal in Brazil.

Latham & Watkins advised on the $144 million sale of Spanish telecommunications company Telefónica’s El Salvador-based unit to the British fund General International Telecom Limited (GITL); Paul Hastings is representing Brazilian real estate company SYN PROP E TECH  (formerly known as Cyrela) in the sale of its stakes in four office buildings to Canada-based Brookfield Asset Management for approximately $318 million; Willkie represented Insight Partners as one of the participants in a $35 million funding round in Argentine fintech startup Pomelo and Carey Olsen's corporate practice in the Cayman Islands advised Chilean startup Buk on its $50 million Series A funding round -- the largest Series A round completed by a Chilean startup to date.
