Baker Botts acted as legal advisor for US-based Liberty Latin America on the merger of its Chile unit VTR with Claro Chile (a unit of Mexico-based America Movil) to create a 50:50 joint venture; K&L Gates and Sidley Austin advised on Mexico-based GE-Prolec Transformers’ $645 million acquisition of US-based SPX Transformer Solutions and Greenberg Traurig and Linklaters advised on the successful merger of special purpose acquisition company Union Acquisition Corp. II (UAC II) with Colombia-based pharmaceutical technology and healthcare company Procaps.
