Davis Polk Advises $5.3 Bln Latin America Offers


Firm advises $2.8 billion in offers from Chile’s Codelco, Colbun, Metro.

Amidst the uncertainty linked to COVID-19, Davis Polk advised on five Latin America offers the past three months, worth a combined $5.3 billion.

They include a $1.75 billion offer from Banco Santander Mexico, a $1.5 billion offer from Metro in Chile, a $800 million offer from Chilean state copper company Codelco, a $500 million offer from Chilean electricity company Colbun and a $750 million offer from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI).
