Latin America: Bank Profits Grew Last Year
Brazil’s ItauUnibanco most profitable bank in Latin America.

Latin America’s top 100 banks suffered a 7.8 percent decline in assets last year to $2.3 trillion, but managed to increase profits by 7.9 percent to $37 billion, according to the latest Latinvex ranking based on data from Economatica.
Brazil’s ItauUnibanco remains the most profitable bank in Latin America, followed by Bradesco and Banco do Brasil.
In assets, ItauUnibanco also leads, followed by Banco do Brasil and Bradesco.
