Latin America 2013: Mixed Business Outlook


Business executives see big differences between countries.

Despite continued economic weakness in the United States and Europe, multinational companies are upbeat about the outlook in Latin America this year, according to a Latinvex survey among leading executives.

“I expect GDP growth in Latin America to improve … as the fiscal and monetary stimulus injected in most countries starts to take effect and commodity exports benefit from recovery in China,” says Jaime Ardila, President of South America for General Motors.
