The value of announced mergers and acquisitions in Brazil grew 12.8 percent in the first half of the year, according to Refinitiv and Latinvex data.

France-based Engie’s $8.7 billion acquisition of Brazilian pipeline company TAG became the largest deal in Brazil and Latin America.
