Law Firms Advise Latin America Energy Work


SGR opens Miami office, with Latin America focused attorneys.

Akin Gump and Baker McKenzie advised German energy firm DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG on its $500 million acquisition of Mexico-based Sierra Oil & Gas; Cleary Gottlieb advised Argentina-based energy company PCR on $108 million project financing and Atlanta-based Smith, Gambrell & Russell (SGR) announced the opening of its Miami office and hire of Latin America focused attorneys from Greenberg Traurig.
