Milbank Advises Brookfield-Fenosa Deal

Cleary Gottlieb, Ropes & Gray, Skadden advise LatAm work.




Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy advised the lenders on the financing of Brookfield’s $390 million purchase of the controlling stake in Gas Natural Fenosa Colombia; Cleary Gottlieb represented Mexican state oil company Pemex in its $369 million offer; Skadden advised Mexico-based Tenedora de Cines, S.A. de C.V. and Operadora Cinepolis, S.A. de C.V., as borrowers and certain of their subsidiaries as guarantors, in a 7.5 billion pesos (US$365 million) loan facility; Ropes & Gray advised Advent International on its Walmart deal in Brazil and Netherlands-based law firm De Brauw has advised Portugal Telecom in connection with the restructuring at Brazilian telecom carrier Oi.
