Jones Day Expands Latin America Team

Jones Day expands Latin America team in Mexico and Miami.  


Jones Day is expanding its Latin America team with key hires in Mexico City and Miami.

Luis Rubio Barnetche, the former chairman of Greenberg Traurig’s Mexico office and one of Latin America’s Top 100 lawyers, joins Jones Day’s Mexico office along with four other key attorneys and a team of associates that previously worked at Greenberg Traurig.

The expansion comes as Jones Day is growing its Latin America business. Jones Day and Mexico-based Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enriquez grew most among the top law firms that advised on Latin America’s top mergers and acquisitions in the first quarter, according to a Latinvex analysis of data from Thomson Reuters.
